Ship Bio
The first of 5 new ships to be built for Celebrity is expected to enter service in late 2008. Built by Meyer Werft in Germany, the new Solstice class of ships will be Celebrity’s largest yet. The Celebrity Solstice will feature some innovative additions to the cruise industry. The Lawn Club on the top most deck will feature a live grass lawn for Bocce, putting or just relaxing with a book. The Solstice will also feature a glassblowing studio where passengers will be treated to the live glass blowing demonstrations called the Hot Glass Show.
